I’m Cat, and I’m a writer.

I’ve been training since day dot. Before I could read, I’d sit with my cardboard books and use the pictures to craft the story, babbling away in my newly found happy place. It was my first taste of adventure, and it was delicious.

I took story-telling up a gear during my Drama degree at Exeter University and went on to make theatre based on local tales, and shared them back to those communities.

I loved creating those sparks that shoot out between us all when we feel like someone just gets us.

I then chased adventure around the world, and after a few years of fun distractions, I got back to my passions — words, exploration, and making sparks. I remembered what I always loved doing — collaborating. I discovered that copywriting is all about buddying up with brilliant people with brilliant ideas and getting to write about them in a way that connects them with more brilliant people… what a dream.

So I created Chalk Copywriting, a playful copywriting company inspired by the scribbles on a chalkboard and the colourful childhood doodles on the pavement.
